The Best Type Of Bread For Homemade
Garlic Bread
By Chase Shustack
French bread is a prime choice to use for garlic bread, thanks to the balance between a firm crust and a chewy, airy crumb.
Cut the loaf of bread down its length into two long halves. Combine room-temperature butter, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
Spread this butter mixture across the open-faced side of the bread, and place in a 400-degree oven for 10 minutes or until the bread is golden-brown and the butter has melted.
You can add extra cheeses or top it with prosciutto, pepperoni, or vegetables. You could even make your own French bread pizza, considering you have the bread and cheese.
