Keep Bread Nice And Soft With One Simple Butter Wrapper Hack
By Madalyn Mackarey
To keep your precious homemade bread nice and soft, you'll want to save the paper it's wrapped in to lock the moisture inside your newly baked loaf.
This type of paper is usually made of a waxy, parchment-like material, making it particularly suitable for sticking. The leftover butter acts as the glue, creating a tight seal.
The extra butter on the wrapper will soften the exposed bread while the wrapper traps in any existing moisture, just like it did when it was protecting the stick of butter.
Simply unravel the wrapper from the stick of butter and spread it out to cover the cut end of your loaf of bread to keep it moist and fresh.
