Jia is a writer, editor, and Korean to English translator. After years of working in corporate America, she decided to finally pursue her dream of becoming a freelancer and is currently a web stories writer for Looper. She specializes in entertainment, both Hollywood and Korean, and especially loves to cover nostalgic TV shows, film history, and soap operas.


Jia graduated from Duke University with a double major in English and Cultural Anthropology. She also received a Film/Video/Digital Certificate and did a semester in the "Duke in L.A. program" where she took film classes at USC and interned for a film & television producer.
