Alexis Montoya is a Puerto Rican and Peruvian food writer and artist from the Bronx. She has worked as a food educator, line cook, and community organizer in NYC. Her work examines the intersection of food culture, especially as it relates to the Bronx and Latinx community.


Alexis earned her B.S in Advertising and Public Relations in 2017 from Rochester Institute of Technology. Her experience in this field allows her to approach writing from a unique perspective, offering insight into what makes a story work and how to effectively communicate the core message.
